Elon Musk's four-hour documentary just vanished from theaters after a $1M debut

Two weeks after Alex Gibney's nearly four-hour Elon Musk documentary Musk opened in American theaters, it has almost vanished from them. The film has grossed less than $1 million in its first two weeks, according to Box Office Mojo, and this weekend it is running in only a handful of theaters in about half the United States. Most major metro areas are dark. New York, for instance, is down to one theater showing it once a day at 10 a.m. In other words, a movie about the planet's richest man is now nearly impossible to see on the big screen, and the distributor's own theater locator does not reflect reality.
